CVE-2025-68265 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nvme: fix admin request_queue lifetime The namespaces can access the controller's admin request_queue, and stale references on the namespaces may exist after tearing down the controller. Ensure the admin request_queue is active by moving the controller's 'put' to after all controller references have been released to ensure no one is can access the request_queue. CVE-2025-68736 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: landlock: Fix handling of disconnected directories Disconnected files or directories can appear when they are visible and opened from a bind mount, but have been renamed or moved from the source of the bind mount in a way that makes them inaccessible from the mount point (i.e. out of scope). Previously, access rights tied to files or directories opened through a disconnected directory were collected by walking the related hierarchy down to the root of the filesystem, without taking into account the mount point because it couldn't be found. This could lead to inconsistent access results, potential access right widening, and hard-to-debug renames, especially since such paths cannot be printed. For a sandboxed task to create a disconnected directory, it needs to have write access (i.e. FS_MAKE_REG, FS_REMOVE_FILE, and FS_REFER) to the underlying source of the bind mount, and read access to the related mount point. Because a sandboxed task cannot acquire more access rights than those defined by its Landlock domain, this could lead to inconsistent access rights due to missing permissions that should be inherited from the mount point hierarchy, while inheriting permissions from the filesystem hierarchy hidden by this mount point instead. Landlock now handles files and directories opened from disconnected directories by taking into account the filesystem hierarchy when the mount point is not found in the hierarchy walk, and also always taking into account the mount point from which these disconnected directories were opened. This ensures that a rename is not allowed if it would widen access rights [1]. The rationale is that, even if disconnected hierarchies might not be visible or accessible to a sandboxed task, relying on the collected access rights from them improves the guarantee that access rights will not be widened during a rename because of the access right comparison between the source and the destination (see LANDLOCK_ACCESS_FS_REFER). It may look like this would grant more access on disconnected files and directories, but the security policies are always enforced for all the evaluated hierarchies. This new behavior should be less surprising to users and safer from an access control perspective. Remove a wrong WARN_ON_ONCE() canary in collect_domain_accesses() and fix the related comment. Because opened files have their access rights stored in the related file security properties, there is no impact for disconnected or unlinked files.

CVE-2021-47328 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: iscsi: Fix conn use after free during resets If we haven't done a unbind target call we can race where iscsi_conn_teardown wakes up the EH thread and then frees the conn while those threads are still accessing the conn ehwait. We can only do one TMF per session so this just moves the TMF fields from the conn to the session. We can then rely on the iscsi_session_teardown->iscsi_remove_session->__iscsi_unbind_session call to remove the target and it's devices, and know after that point there is no device or scsi-ml callout trying to access the session.
CVE-2021-47317 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: powerpc/bpf: Fix detecting BPF atomic instructions Commit 91c960b0056672 ("bpf: Rename BPF_XADD and prepare to encode other atomics in .imm") converted BPF_XADD to BPF_ATOMIC and added a way to distinguish instructions based on the immediate field. Existing JIT implementations were updated to check for the immediate field and to reject programs utilizing anything more than BPF_ADD (such as BPF_FETCH) in the immediate field. However, the check added to powerpc64 JIT did not look at the correct BPF instruction. Due to this, such programs would be accepted and incorrectly JIT'ed resulting in soft lockups, as seen with the atomic bounds test. Fix this by looking at the correct immediate value.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix NULL dereference in nfs3svc_encode_getaclres In error cases the dentry may be NULL. Before 20798dfe249a, the encoder also checked dentry and d_really_is_positive(dentry), but that looks like overkill to me--zero status should be enough to guarantee a positive dentry. This isn't the first time we've seen an error-case NULL dereference hidden in the initialization of a local variable in an xdr encoder. But I went back through the other recent rewrites and didn't spot any similar bugs.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: bpf: Track subprog poke descriptors correctly and fix use-after-free Subprograms are calling map_poke_track(), but on program release there is no hook to call map_poke_untrack(). However, on program release, the aux memory (and poke descriptor table) is freed even though we still have a reference to it in the element list of the map aux data. When we run map_poke_run(), we then end up accessing free'd memory, triggering KASAN in prog_array_map_poke_run(): [...] [ 402.824689] BUG: KASAN: use-after-free in prog_array_map_poke_run+0xc2/0x34e [ 402.824698] Read of size 4 at addr ffff8881905a7940 by task hubble-fgs/4337 [ 402.824705] CPU: 1 PID: 4337 Comm: hubble-fgs Tainted: G I 5.12.0+ #399 [ 402.824715] Call Trace: [ 402.824719] dump_stack+0x93/0xc2 [ 402.824727] print_address_description.constprop.0+0x1a/0x140 [ 402.824736] ? prog_array_map_poke_run+0xc2/0x34e [ 402.824740] ? prog_array_map_poke_run+0xc2/0x34e [ 402.824744] kasan_report.cold+0x7c/0xd8 [ 402.824752] ? prog_array_map_poke_run+0xc2/0x34e [ 402.824757] prog_array_map_poke_run+0xc2/0x34e [ 402.824765] bpf_fd_array_map_update_elem+0x124/0x1a0 [...] The elements concerned are walked as follows: for (i = 0; i < elem->aux->size_poke_tab; i++) { poke = &elem->aux->poke_tab[i]; [...] The access to size_poke_tab is a 4 byte read, verified by checking offsets in the KASAN dump: [ 402.825004] The buggy address belongs to the object at ffff8881905a7800 which belongs to the cache kmalloc-1k of size 1024 [ 402.825008] The buggy address is located 320 bytes inside of 1024-byte region [ffff8881905a7800, ffff8881905a7c00) The pahole output of bpf_prog_aux: struct bpf_prog_aux { [...] /* --- cacheline 5 boundary (320 bytes) --- */ u32 size_poke_tab; /* 320 4 */ [...] In general, subprograms do not necessarily manage their own data structures. For example, BTF func_info and linfo are just pointers to the main program structure. This allows reference counting and cleanup to be done on the latter which simplifies their management a bit. The aux->poke_tab struct, however, did not follow this logic. The initial proposed fix for this use-after-free bug further embedded poke data tracking into the subprogram with proper reference counting. However, Daniel and Alexei questioned why we were treating these objects special; I agree, its unnecessary. The fix here removes the per subprogram poke table allocation and map tracking and instead simply points the aux->poke_tab pointer at the main programs poke table. This way, map tracking is simplified to the main program and we do not need to manage them per subprogram. This also means, bpf_prog_free_deferred(), which unwinds the program reference counting and kfrees objects, needs to ensure that we don't try to double free the poke_tab when free'ing the subprog structures. This is easily solved by NULL'ing the poke_tab pointer. The second detail is to ensure that per subprogram JIT logic only does fixups on poke_tab[] entries it owns. To do this, we add a pointer in the poke structure to point at the subprogram value so JITs can easily check while walking the poke_tab structure if the current entry belongs to the current program. The aux pointer is stable and therefore suitable for such comparison. On the jit_subprogs() error path, we omit cleaning up the poke->aux field because these are only ever referenced from the JIT side, but on error we will never make it to the JIT, so its fine to leave them dangling. Removing these pointers would complicate the error path for no reason. However, we do need to untrack all poke descriptors from the main program as otherwise they could race with the freeing of JIT memory from the subprograms. CVE-2021-47282 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: spi: bcm2835: Fix out-of-bounds access with more than 4 slaves Commit 571e31fa60b3 ("spi: bcm2835: Cache CS register value for ->prepare_message()") limited the number of slaves to 3 at compile-time. The limitation was necessitated by a statically-sized array prepare_cs[] in the driver private data which contains a per-slave register value. The commit sought to enforce the limitation at run-time by setting the controller's num_chipselect to 3: Slaves with a higher chipselect are rejected by spi_add_device(). However the commit neglected that num_chipselect only limits the number of *native* chipselects. If GPIO chipselects are specified in the device tree for more than 3 slaves, num_chipselect is silently raised by of_spi_get_gpio_numbers() and the result are out-of-bounds accesses to the statically-sized array prepare_cs[]. As a bandaid fix which is backportable to stable, raise the number of allowed slaves to 24 (which "ought to be enough for anybody"), enforce the limitation on slave ->setup and revert num_chipselect to 3 (which is the number of native chipselects supported by the controller). An upcoming for-next commit will allow an arbitrary number of slaves.
CVE-2021-47281 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: seq: Fix race of snd_seq_timer_open() The timer instance per queue is exclusive, and snd_seq_timer_open() should have managed the concurrent accesses. It looks as if it's checking the already existing timer instance at the beginning, but it's not right, because there is no protection, hence any later concurrent call of snd_seq_timer_open() may override the timer instance easily. This may result in UAF, as the leftover timer instance can keep running while the queue itself gets closed, as spotted by syzkaller recently. For avoiding the race, add a proper check at the assignment of tmr->timeri again, and return -EBUSY if it's been already registered.

CVE-2021-47261 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-04 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: IB/mlx5: Fix initializing CQ fragments buffer The function init_cq_frag_buf() can be called to initialize the current CQ fragments buffer cq->buf, or the temporary cq->resize_buf that is filled during CQ resize operation. However, the offending commit started to use function get_cqe() for getting the CQEs, the issue with this change is that get_cqe() always returns CQEs from cq->buf, which leads us to initialize the wrong buffer, and in case of enlarging the CQ we try to access elements beyond the size of the current cq->buf and eventually hit a kernel panic. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: NFS: Fix use-after-free in nfs4_init_client() KASAN reports a use-after-free when attempting to mount two different exports through two different NICs that belong to the same server. Olga was able to hit this with kernels starting somewhere between 5.7 and 5.10, but I traced the patch that introduced the clear_bit() call to 4.13. So something must have changed in the refcounting of the clp pointer to make this call to nfs_put_client() the very last one.
