CVSS v3.1 |
| Release of invalid pointer or reference in Windows Device Association Service allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
netfilter: nat: use kfree_rcu to release ops
Florian Westphal says:
"Historically this is not an issue, even for normal base hooks: the data
path doesn't use the original nf_hook_ops that are used to register the
callbacks.
However, in v5.14 I added the ability to dump the active netfilter
hooks from userspace.
This code will peek back into the nf_hook_ops that are available
at the tail of the pointer-array blob used by the datapath.
The nat hooks are special, because they are called indirectly from
the central nat dispatcher hook. They are currently invisible to
the nfnl hook dump subsystem though.
But once that changes the nat ops structures have to be deferred too."
Update nf_nat_register_fn() to deal with partial exposition of the hooks
from error path which can be also an issue for nfnetlink_hook. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
RDMA/vmw_pvrdma: Fix double free on pvrdma_alloc_ucontext() error path
Sashiko points out that pvrdma_uar_free() is already called within
pvrdma_dealloc_ucontext(), so calling it before triggers a double free. |
| If one side of the TLS connection sends multiple key update messages post-handshake in a single record, the connection can deadlock, causing uncontrolled consumption of resources. This can lead to a denial of service. This only affects TLS 1.3. |
| A flaw was found in libxml2 with Python bindings enabled. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted XML document containing a Document Type Definition (DTD) with enumerated attribute values. This triggers a double-free error in the SAX attributeDecl callback handler, where a string is freed twice. This flaw can lead to a denial of service (DoS) due to a reproducible crash in Python applications using the libxml2 SAX bindings. |
| Release of Invalid Pointer or Reference in Armoury Crate driver allows a local user to free arbitrary memory via a crafted IOCTL request by bypassing the driver's verification, which can corrupt data structures and cause a system crash (BSOD).Refer to the '
Security Update for Armoury Crate App ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cpufreq: pcc: fix use-after-free and double free in _OSC evaluation
pcc_cpufreq_do_osc() calls acpi_evaluate_object() twice for the
two-phase _OSC negotiation. Between the two calls it freed
output.pointer but left output.length unchanged. Since
acpi_evaluate_object() treats a non-zero length with a non-NULL
pointer as an existing buffer to write into, the second call wrote
into freed memory (use-after-free). The subsequent kfree(output.pointer)
at out_free then freed the same pointer a second time (double free).
Reset output.pointer to NULL and output.length to ACPI_ALLOCATE_BUFFER
after freeing the first result, so ACPICA allocates a fresh buffer for
each phase independently. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
cpufreq: qcom-cpufreq-hw: Fix possible double free
qcom_cpufreq.data is allocated with devm_kzalloc() in probe() as an
array of per-domain data. qcom_cpufreq_hw_cpu_init() stores a pointer to
one element of this array in policy->driver_data.
qcom_cpufreq_hw_cpu_exit() currently calls kfree() on policy->driver_data.
This is not valid because the memory is devm-managed. For the first
domain, this can free the devm-managed allocation while the devres entry
is still active, leading to a possible double free when the platform
device is later detached. For other domains, the pointer may refer to an
element inside the array rather than the allocation base.
Remove the kfree(data) call and let devres release qcom_cpufreq.data.
This issue was found by a static analysis tool I am developing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
xfrm: defensively unhash xfrm_state lists in __xfrm_state_delete
KASAN reproduces a slab-use-after-free in __xfrm_state_delete()'s
hlist_del_rcu calls under syzkaller load on linux-6.12.y stable
(reproduced on 6.12.47, also reachable via the same code path on
torvalds/master and on the ipsec tree). Nine unique signatures cluster
in the xfrm_state lifecycle, the load-bearing one being:
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __hlist_del include/linux/list.h:990 [inline]
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in hlist_del_rcu include/linux/rculist.h:516 [inline]
BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in __xfrm_state_delete net/xfrm/xfrm_state.c
Write of size 8 at addr ffff8881198bcb70 by task kworker/u8:9/435
Workqueue: netns cleanup_net
Call Trace:
__hlist_del / hlist_del_rcu
__xfrm_state_delete
xfrm_state_delete
xfrm_state_flush
xfrm_state_fini

cleanup_net
The other observed signatures hit the same slab object from
__xfrm_state_lookup, xfrm_alloc_spi, __xfrm_state_insert and an OOB
write variant of __xfrm_state_delete, all on the byseq/byspi
hash chains.
__xfrm_state_delete() guards its byseq and byspi unhashes with
value-based predicates:
if (x->km.seq)
hlist_del_rcu(&x->byseq);
if (x->id.spi)
hlist_del_rcu(&x->byspi);
while everywhere else in the file (e.g. state_cache, state_cache_input)
the safer hlist_unhashed() check is used. xfrm_alloc_spi() sets
x->id.spi = newspi inside xfrm_state_lock and then immediately inserts
into byspi, but a path that observes x->id.spi != 0 outside of
xfrm_state_lock can still skip-or-hit the byspi unhash inconsistently
with whether x is actually on the list. The same holds for x->km.seq
versus byseq, and the bydst/bysrc unhashes have no predicate at all,
so a second __xfrm_state_delete() on the same object writes through
LIST_POISON pprev.
The defensive change here:
- Use hlist_del_init_rcu() instead of hlist_del_rcu() on bydst,
bysrc, byseq and byspi so a second deletion is a no-op rather
than a write through LIST_POISON pprev. The byseq/byspi nodes
are already initialised in xfrm_state_alloc().
- Test hlist_unhashed() rather than the value predicate for
byseq/byspi, so the unhash decision tracks list state rather than
mutable scalar fields.
Empirical verification: applied this patch on top of v6.12.47, rebuilt,
and re-ran the same syzkaller harness for 1h16m on a previously-crashy
configuration that produced ~100 hits each of slab-use-after-free
Read in xfrm_alloc_spi / Read in __xfrm_state_lookup / Write in
__xfrm_state_delete. After the patch, 7.1M execs across 32 VMs at
~1550 exec/sec produced zero xfrm_state UAF/OOB hits. /proc/slabinfo
confirms the xfrm_state slab is actively allocated and freed during
the run (~143 KiB resident), so the fuzzer is still exercising those
code paths -- they just no longer crash.
Reproduction:
- Linux 6.12.47 x86_64 + KASAN_GENERIC + KASAN_INLINE + KCOV
- syzkaller @ 746545b8b1e4c3a128db8652b340d3df90ce61db
- 32 QEMU/KVM VMs x 2 vCPU on AWS c5.metal bare metal
- 9 unique signatures collected in ~9h, all within xfrm_state

| When initializing an RSA public key from DER or PEM bytes throws an error, the EVP_PKEY* is double-freed: first in the catch block, then in the deinit. This can lead to a crash on future memory allocations. This double-free manifests when BoringSSL cannot decode the public key from the bytes provided. This vulnerability is addressed in swift-crypto version 4.5.1. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: digi_acceleport: fix broken rx after throttle
If the port is closed while throttled, the read urb is never resubmitted
and the port will not receive any further data until the device is
reconnected (or the driver is rebound).
Clear the throttle flags and submit the urb if needed when opening the
port. |
| Privilege escalation due to invalid pointer in the Graphics component. This vulnerability was fixed in Firefox 155, Firefox ESR 115.40, Firefox ESR 140.15, Firefox ESR 153.2, Thunderbird 155, Thunderbird 140.15, and Thunderbird 153.2. |
| Description:
When NGINX Plus is configured as the data plane for NGINX Gateway Fabric, an injection vulnerability exists in the NGINX configuration generator component of NGINX Gateway Fabric. User-supplied string values from the Authentication Filter Custom Resource Definition clientID or cookieName fields, or in the clientSecret field of a Secret referenced by an Authentication Filter, are rendered directly into NGINX configuration templates without sanitization or escaping.
Impact:
An authenticated attacker with permission to create or modify these resources may craft values that inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives. This is a control plane issue; there is no data plane exposure. |
| When NGINX Ingress Controller is configured with Ingress annotations, an injection vulnerability exists in the configuration generator of NGINX Ingress Controller. Multiple user-controllable fields are written into the generated NGINX configuration without sanitization. An authenticated attacker with permission to create or modify these annotations may craft values that inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives.
Impact:
An authenticated attacker granted write access to NGINX Ingress Controller Ingress annotations through the Kubernetes API may be able to inject arbitrary NGINX configuration directives, create or delete files, or disable services. There is no data plane exposure; this is a control plane issue only.
Note: Software versions which have reached End of Technical Support (EoTS) are not evaluated. |

| fast-uri is a URI parser for Node.js. During parsing it runs a legacy decoding pass over the scheme component and never re-escapes the result, and serialization writes the scheme back out verbatim, unlike the host component which is re-escaped. As a result an input whose scheme carries percent-encoded slashes parses as a scheme with no authority, so the parsed host and error are both undefined, yet resolving or normalizing that same input emits a network-path reference whose authority is attacker-chosen and re-parses to that host. An application that allowlists on the parsed host, or treats a reference with no authority as safe to resolve against its base, gets the opposite of what it checked, giving an off-site redirect, server-side request forgery, or address-policy bypass. The legacy decoder also expands non-standard escape forms, widening the issue past upstream filters, and control characters in the scheme can reach the output as raw carriage return and line feed. The affected versions are 2.3.1 up to but not including 2.4.5, 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.1.6, and 4.0.0 up to but not including 4.1.3. The issue is fixed in 2.4.5, 3.1.6, and 4.1.3, which reject a scheme that is not valid after decoding. Users should upgrade to a patched version. |
| There exists a use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel through io_uring and the IORING_OP_SPLICE operation. If IORING_OP_SPLICE is missing the IO_WQ_WORK_FILES flag, which signals that the operation won't use current->nsproxy, so its reference counter is not increased. This assumption is not always true as calling io_splice on specific files will call the get_uts function which will use current->nsproxy leading to invalidly decreasing its reference counter later causing the use-after-free vulnerability. We recommend upgrading to version 5.10.160 or above

| A type confusion vulnerability in the iked process of WatchGuard Fireware OS allows a remote unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by sending specially crafted network traffic. |
| Release of an invalid pointer in the AMD kernel mode driver (KMD) could allow a privileged attacker to create a double free condition potentially leading to arbitrary code execution. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
crypto: qce - fix error path in devm_qce_register_algs
If ops->register_algs() fails, the error path repeatedly calls the same
ops->unregister_algs() from the failed registration. Use the loop index
to unregister the previously registered algorithms instead. |
