CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
usb: gadget: f_fs: Initialize epfile->in early to fix endpoint direction checks
When parsing endpoint descriptors, ffs_data_got_descs() generates the
eps_addrmap which contains the endpoint direction. However, epfile->in
was previously only populated in ffs_func_eps_enable() which executes
upon USB host connection. As a result, early userspace ioctls like
FUNCTIONFS_DMABUF_ATTACH that run before the host connects would see
epfile->in as 0, leading to incorrect DMA directions.
By moving the initialization to ffs_epfiles_create(), epfile->in is
accurate before userspace opens the endpoint files. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
USB: serial: digi_acceleport: fix hard lockup on disconnect
If submitting the OOB write urb fails persistently (e.g if the device is
being disconnected) the driver would loop indefinitely with interrupts
disabled.
Check for urb submission errors when sending OOB commands to avoid
hanging if, for example, open(), set_termios() or close() races with a
physical disconnect.
This is issue was flagged by Sashiko when reviewing an unrelated change
to the driver. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
wifi: rtw89: correct drop logic for malformed AMPDU frames
The previous commit aims to fix issue caused by malformed AMPDU frames.
But the drop logic fails to deal with the first AMPDU packet paired with
certain range of sequence number, and leads to unexpected packet drop.
It is more likely to encounter this failure when there are busy traffic
during rekey process and could lead to disconnection from the AP.
Fix this by adding a initial state judgement and only reset status
during pairwise rekey. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
MIPS: smp: report dying CPU to RCU in stop_this_cpu()
smp_send_stop() parks all secondary CPUs in stop_this_cpu(). The function
marks the CPU offline for the scheduler via set_cpu_online(false) but
never informs RCU, so RCU keeps expecting a quiescent state from CPUs
that are now spinning forever with interrupts disabled.
As long as nothing waits for an RCU grace period after smp_send_stop()
this is harmless, which is why it went unnoticed. Since commit
91840be8f710 ("irq_work: Fix use-after-free in irq_work_single() on PREEMPT_RT")
however, irq_work_sync() calls synchronize_rcu() on architectures without
an irq_work self-IPI, i.e. where arch_irq_work_has_interrupt() returns
false. That is the asm-generic default used by MIPS. Any irq_work_sync()
issued in the reboot/shutdown path after smp_send_stop() then blocks on
a grace period that can never complete, hanging the reboot:
WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 15 at kernel/irq_work.c:144 irq_work_queue_on
...
rcu: INFO: rcu_sched detected stalls on CPUs/tasks:
rcu: Offline CPU 1 blocking current GP.
rcu: Offline CPU 2 blocking current GP.
rcu: Offline CPU 3 blocking current GP.
This issue was noticed on several Realtek MIPS switch SoCs (MIPS
interAptiv) and came up during kernel bump downstream in OpenWrt from
6.18.33 to 6.18.34, after the backport of the patch to the 6.18 stable
branch. The patch also has been backported all the way back to 6.1.
Call rcutree_report_cpu_dead() once interrupts are disabled, mirroring the
generic CPU-hotplug offline path, so RCU stops waiting on the parked CPUs
and grace periods can still complete. MIPS shuts down all CPUs here
without going through the CPU-hotplug mechanism, so this report is not
otherwise issued. Reporting a dying CPU to RCU outside the regular hotplug
offline path is not unprecedented: arm64 does the same in cpu_die_early().
There it is an exception for a CPU that was coming online and is aborting
bringup, rather than the default shutdown action as on MIPS. |
| DOMPurify through 3.3.3 fails to sanitize DOM elements passed via IN_PLACE mode when the element originates from a different window/realm (e.g., an iframe's contentDocument). A cross-realm instanceof check in the private _isNode() function returns false for foreign-realm nodes, causing DOMPurify to stringify the element (yielding '[object HTMLDivElement]'), silently reset IN_PLACE to false, and return the unsanitized element unchanged with any XSS payloads intact. |
| SurrealDB versions before 3.1.0 contain a denial of service vulnerability where malicious LIVE queries with WHERE clauses that evaluate to errors cause all CREATE, UPDATE, and DELETE operations on the watched table to fail. An authenticated user with only select permission can prevent write operations on a table for any user, including root, by registering a LIVE query that triggers evaluation errors until the query is killed or the session ends. |
| With NLnet Labs Unbound up to and including version 1.25.1, applications using libunbound and configured with 'unwanted-reply-threshold', could eventually be abruptly terminated if the threshold is reached and libunbound needs to call 'libworker_alloc_cleanup' since the function is absent from the function call allow list. When an application using libunbound sets 'unwanted-reply-threshold' to any non-zero value and the iterator queries an authoritative that replies with enough wrong-transaction-ID UDP datagrams to cross the threshold, the 'libworker_alloc_cleanup' will eventually be called. Since the function is absent from the function call allow list, this leads to a fatal exit of libunbound and eventual termination of the embedding application.Unbound itself is not affected since its relevant function 'worker_alloc_cleanup' is registed in the allow list and proceeds to perform the documented cache flush. |
| HCL DevOps Loop is affected by insufficient input validation that allows special characters where they should be restricted. This may result in unintended application behavior under certain conditions. |
| Mattermost Desktop App versions <=6.2 5.5.13 6.0.2.0 fail to properly null check when checking for headers in the Mattermost Desktop App which allows any user to crash another channel members Desktop App via posting a malicious link with an embedded image that misses one of those headers. | An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX Series allows adjacent subscribers to bypass configured firewall filters.
On MX Series devices with MPC10/11, LC4800/9600, and MX304 with subscribers configured on static interfaces, ingress firewall filters are not enforced, so that neither protocol level nor upstream bandwidth limitation are in effect.
This issue affects Junos OS on MX with MPC10/11, LC4800/9600/4802, and MX304:
* 23.2 versions from 23.2R2-S1 before 23.2R2-S7,
* 23.4 versions from 23.4R2 before 23.4R2-S7,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S3,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S2,
* 25.2 versions before 25.2R2. |
| An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on MX with SPC3 and SRX Series allows an unauthenticated, network-based attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
When an affected device initiates a TCP connection to an attacker-controlled system that responds with a specific packet, this causes a PFE crash and restart, which affects all services until the system has automatically recovered.
This issue can happen among others in the following scenarios: ALG, SSL proxy, UTM, RTLOG, AppQoE probing, AAMW, ICAP, URL filtering.
This issue affects Junos OS on MX Series with SPC3, SRX5k Series with SPC3, SRX1600 Series, SRX2300 Series, SRX4000 Series, and vSRX Series:
* all versions before 23.2R2-S4,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S5,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2. |
| An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the
advanced forwarding toolkit (evo-aftmand)
of Juniper Networks Junos OS Evolved on PTX Series allows an unauthenticated network-based attacker generating continuous routing updates, resulting in unilist ECMP routes, to crash the
evo-aftmand process on the PFE, leading to a Denial-of-Service (DoS). The conditions required for successful exploitation are based on a sequence of events that are outside an attacker's direct control.
Unified list (unilist) ECMP routes are a specific ECMP behavior where multiple equal-cost routes share a single logical next-hop list entry. The router treats them as one route with multiple next hops and load balances traffic across that unified list. Due to an issue processing unilist ECMP routing updates, internal state corruption may occur, especially in large-scale ECMP unilist deployments, leading to the evo-aftmand process crashing, resulting in an evo-aftmand-bx core. Manual intervention is required to recover by rebooting the system or restarting the FPC.
This issue affects Junos OS Evolved on PTX :
* from 24.4R2-EVO before 24.4R2-S3-EVO;
* from 25.2 before 25.2R2-EVO. |
| An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (RPD) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an adjacent, unauthenticated attacker sending a specific BGP update over an established BGP session to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
Upon receipt of a specifically malformed non-inet/inet6 unicast BGP update, an RPD crash and restart is triggered, which will cause a complete service outage until routing has reconverged. The rpd crash occurs before the update can be readvertised, so there is no downstream propagation.
This issue affects:
* Junos OS versions 25.2 before 25.2R2;
* Junos OS Evolved versions 25.2 before 25.2R2-EVO.
This issue doesn't affect Junos OS versions before 25.2R1 nor Junos OS Evolved versions before 25.2R1-EVO. |
| An Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in the packet forwarding engine (pfe) of Juniper Networks Junos OS on QFX10000 Series allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS).
On all QFX10000 platforms in an EVPN-VxLAN scenario, if an attacker sends IPv6 multicast traffic and these packets reach the non-IRB interface of a spine switch it floods the packet to other spines and all Ethernet Segment Identifier (ESI) leaf switches. This flooding causes the packet to be forwarded in a endless loop, which can lead to saturation of the involved links and in turn impact to legitimate traffic.
This issue affects Junos OS on QFX10000 Series:
* all versions before 23.2R2-S7,
* 23.4 versions before 23.4R2-S8,
* 24.2 versions before 24.2R2-S4,
* 24.4 versions before 24.4R2-S4.
This issue does not affect Junos version after 24.4 as the QFX10000 Series devices are not supported on newer versions anymore. |
| Multiple denial of service vulnerabilities in Palo Alto Networks PAN-OS® software allow an unauthenticated attacker with network access to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition by sending specially crafted network traffic to or through a dataplane interface. Repeated attempts to trigger this condition result in the firewall entering maintenance mode.
Panorama is not impacted by these vulnerabilities. |
| CoreWCF is a port of the service side of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) to .NET Core. Prior to 1.8.1 and 1.9.1, a CoreWCF service listening on a Kafka topic stops processing new records from that topic when KafkaTransportPump receives a null-value tombstone record, causing a persistent endpoint denial of service for attackers with produce permission. This issue is fixed in versions 1.8.1 and 1.9.1. |
| Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions vulnerability in phoenixframework phoenix (Presence JavaScript client) allows an attacker with ordinary channel access to cause a persistent client-side denial of service against every viewer of a presence channel topic.
This vulnerability is associated with program files assets/js/phoenix/presence.js and program routines Presence.syncState and Presence.syncDiff.
The Phoenix JavaScript presence client checks whether a presence already exists with a bare truthiness test (state[key]) instead of an own-property check. Presence keys can be attacker-controlled, because applications track presences under a username or id supplied by the client. A user who joins a channel choosing a key that is an Object.prototype member name (__proto__, constructor, toString, hasOwnProperty, and similar) makes that lookup return JavaScript's built-in Object.prototype instead of undefined. Because the prototype is truthy, the code treats it as an existing presence and reads .metas.map(...) off it, which throws an uncaught TypeError.
The exception propagates out of the presence message handler, so the local state is never updated and onSync() never fires. Because the malicious key is tracked on the server, it is re-pushed on every presence update and keeps re-throwing, so presence sync stays broken for every viewer of that channel topic until the attacker leaves. Both syncState and syncDiff use the same unsafe existence-check pattern. The impact is limited to the affected topic and is a read-time confusion of the prototype object, not a mutation of Object.prototype (it is not prototype pollution).
This issue affects phoenix: from 1.2.0-rc.0 before 1.5.15, from 1.6.0-rc.0 before 1.6.17, from 1.7.0-rc.0 before 1.7.24, and from 1.8.0-rc.0 before 1.8.9. |
| FOSSBilling is a free, open-source billing and client management system. Prior to version 0.8.0, the PayPalEmail payment adapter accepts PayPal IPN callbacks and credits the IPN-supplied amount (`mc_gross`) to the client's balance without validating it against the invoice total. Combined with a $0.05 floating-point epsilon tolerance in the invoice credit-payment logic, this allows a client to underpay an invoice by up to $0.04 and still have it marked as fully paid. Version 0.8.0 patches the issue. There is no effective workaround without modifying the source code. Merchants using the PayPalEmail adapter should monitor IPN transactions for amounts that do not match their corresponding invoice totals, and manually review and refund suspicious payments. |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26, a heap buffer overflow occurs in the MVG decoder that could result in an out of bounds write when processing a crafted image. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
padata: Put CPU offline callback in ONLINE section to allow failure
syzbot reported the following warning:
DEAD callback error for CPU1
WARNING: kernel/cpu.c:1463 at _cpu_down+0x759/0x1020 kernel/cpu.c:1463, CPU#0: syz.0.1960/14614
at commit 4ae12d8bd9a8 ("Merge tag 'kbuild-fixes-7.0-2' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/kbuild/linux")
which tglx traced to padata_cpu_dead() given it's the only
sub-CPUHP_TEARDOWN_CPU callback that returns an error.
Failure isn't allowed in hotplug states before CPUHP_TEARDOWN_CPU
so move the CPU offline callback to the ONLINE section where failure is
possible. |
