CVE-2021-47333 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: misc: alcor_pci: fix null-ptr-deref when there is no PCI bridge There is an issue with the ASPM(optional) capability checking function. A device might be attached to root complex directly, in this case, bus->self(bridge) will be NULL, thus priv->parent_pdev is NULL. Since alcor_pci_init_check_aspm(priv->parent_pdev) checks the PCI link's ASPM capability and populate parent_cap_off, which will be used later by alcor_pci_aspm_ctrl() to dynamically turn on/off device, what we can do here is to avoid checking the capability if we are on the root complex. This will make pdev_cap_off 0 and alcor_pci_aspm_ctrl() will simply return when bring called, effectively disable ASPM for the device. CVE-2021-47332 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ALSA: usx2y: Don't call free_pages_exact() with NULL address Unlike some other functions, we can't pass NULL pointer to free_pages_exact(). Add a proper NULL check for avoiding possible Oops.
CVE-2021-47331 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: common: usb-conn-gpio: fix NULL pointer dereference of charger When power on system with OTG cable, IDDIG's interrupt arises before the charger registration, it will cause a NULL pointer dereference, fix the issue by registering the power supply before requesting IDDIG/VBUS irq.
CVE-2021-47289 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPI: fix NULL pointer dereference Commit 71f642833284 ("ACPI: utils: Fix reference counting in for_each_acpi_dev_match()") started doing "acpi_dev_put()" on a pointer that was possibly NULL. That fails miserably, because that helper inline function is not set up to handle that case. Just make acpi_dev_put() silently accept a NULL pointer, rather than calling down to put_device() with an invalid offset off that NULL pointer.
CVE-2021-47269 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: usb: dwc3: ep0: fix NULL pointer exception There is no validation of the index from dwc3_wIndex_to_dep() and we might be referring a non-existing ep and trigger a NULL pointer exception. In certain configurations we might use fewer eps and the index might wrongly indicate a larger ep index than existing. By adding this validation from the patch we can actually report a wrong index back to the caller. In our usecase we are using a composite device on an older kernel, but upstream might use this fix also. Unfortunately, I cannot describe the hardware for others to reproduce the issue as it is a proprietary implementation. CVE-2021-47169 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-12-18 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: serial: rp2: use 'request_firmware' instead of 'request_firmware_nowait' In 'rp2_probe', the driver registers 'rp2_uart_interrupt' then calls 'rp2_fw_cb' through 'request_firmware_nowait'. In 'rp2_fw_cb', if the firmware don't exists, function just return without initializing ports of 'rp2_card'. But now the interrupt handler function has been registered, and when an interrupt comes, 'rp2_uart_interrupt' may access those ports then causing NULL pointer dereference or other bugs. Because the driver does some initialization work in 'rp2_fw_cb', in order to make the driver ready to handle interrupts, 'request_firmware' should be used instead of asynchronous 'request_firmware_nowait'. This report reveals it: INFO: trying to register non-static key. the code is fine but needs lockdep annotation. turning off the locking correctness validator. CVE-2025-38023 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-12-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfs: handle failure of nfs_get_lock_context in unlock path When memory is insufficient, the allocation of nfs_lock_context in nfs_get_lock_context() fails and returns -ENOMEM. If we mistakenly treat an nfs4_unlockdata structure (whose l_ctx member has been set to -ENOMEM) as valid and proceed to execute rpc_run_task(), this will trigger a NULL pointer dereference in nfs4_locku_prepare. For example: BUG: kernel NULL pointer dereference, address: 000000000000000c PGD 0 P4D 0 Oops: Oops: 0000 [#1] SMP PTI CPU: 15 UID: 0 PID: 12 Comm: kworker/u64:0 Not tainted 6.15.0-rc2-dirty #60 Hardware name: QEMU Standard PC (i440FX + PIIX, 1996), BIOS 1.16.3-2.fc40 Workqueue: rpciod rpc_async_schedule RIP: 0010:nfs4_locku_prepare+0x35/0xc2 Code: 89 f2 48 89 fd 48 c7 c7 68 69 ef b5 53 48 8b 8e 90 00 00 00 48 89 f3 RSP: 0018:ffffbbafc006bdb8 EFLAGS: 00010246 RAX: 000000000000004b RBX: ffff9b964fc1fa00 RCX: 0000000000000000 RDX: 0000000000000000 RSI: fffffffffffffff4 RDI: ffff9ba53fddbf40 RBP: ffff9ba539934000 R08: 0000000000000000 R09: ffffbbafc006bc38 R10: ffffffffb6b689c8 R11: 0000000000000003 R12: ffff9ba539934030 R13: 0000000000000001 R14: 0000000004248060 R15: ffffffffb56d1c30 FS: 0000000000000000(0000) GS:ffff9ba5881f0000(0000) knlGS:00000000 CS: 0010 DS: 0000 ES: 0000 CR0: 0000000080050033 CR2: 000000000000000c CR3: 000000093f244000 CR4: 00000000000006f0 Call Trace: <TASK> __rpc_execute+0xbc/0x480 rpc_async_schedule+0x2f/0x40 process_one_work+0x232/0x5d0 worker_thread+0x1da/0x3d0 ? __pfx_worker_thread+0x10/0x10 kthread+0x10d/0x240 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork+0x34/0x50 ? __pfx_kthread+0x10/0x10 ret_from_fork_asm+0x1a/0x30 </TASK> Modules linked in: CR2: 000000000000000c ---[ end trace 0000000000000000 ]--- Free the allocated nfs4_unlockdata when nfs_get_lock_context() fails and return NULL to terminate subsequent rpc_run_task, preventing NULL pointer dereference.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gve: add missing NULL check for gve_alloc_pending_packet() in TX DQO gve_alloc_pending_packet() can return NULL, but gve_tx_add_skb_dqo() did not check for this case before dereferencing the returned pointer. Add a missing NULL check to prevent a potential NULL pointer dereference when allocation fails. This improves robustness in low-memory scenarios.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/huge_memory: fix dereferencing invalid pmd migration entry When migrating a THP, concurrent access to the PMD migration entry during a deferred split scan can lead to an invalid address access, as illustrated below. To prevent this invalid access, it is necessary to check the PMD migration entry and return early. In this context, there is no need to use pmd_to_swp_entry and pfn_swap_entry_to_page to verify the equality of the target folio. Since the PMD migration entry is locked, it cannot be served as the target. Mailing list discussion and explanation from Hugh Dickins: "An anon_vma lookup points to a location which may contain the folio of interest, but might instead contain another folio: and weeding out those other folios is precisely what the "folio != pmd_folio((*pmd)" check (and the "risk of replacing the wrong folio" comment a few lines above it) is for." CVE-2025-37972 2 Debian, Linux 2 Debian Linux, Linux Kernel 2025-12-16 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Input: mtk-pmic-keys - fix possible null pointer dereference In mtk_pmic_keys_probe, the regs parameter is only set if the button is parsed in the device tree. However, on hardware where the button is left floating, that node will most likely be removed not to enable that input. In that case the code will try to dereference a null pointer. Let's use the regs struct instead as it is defined for all supported platforms. Note that it is ok setting the key reg even if that latter is disabled as the interrupt won't be enabled anyway.
