CVSS v3.1 |
| The Zephyr Bluetooth LE Audio Basic Audio Profile (BAP) unicast client mishandles peer-supplied ASE state notifications. In unicast_client_ep_qos_state() (subsys/bluetooth/audio/bap_unicast_client.c), the handler writes attacker-controlled QoS fields (interval, framing, phy, sdu, rtn, latency, pd) through the stream->qos pointer with only a stream != NULL guard. stream->qos is NULL for any stream that has been codec-configured via bt_bap_stream_config() but not yet added to a unicast group (it is set only by unicast_group_add_stream()).
A malicious or buggy remote ASCS server, to which the local device is connected as a BAP unicast client, can send a GATT notification announcing the ASE has entered the QoS Configured state while the local endpoint is still in the Codec Configured state — a transition the dispatcher explicitly permits — during that window, causing a write through a NULL pointer and a crash (denial of service). The data written is itself remote-controlled.
The defect shipped in v4.3.0 and v4.4.0 (and earlier). The fix re-points all BAP QoS storage to the always-valid embedded ep->qos struct, eliminating the NULL dereference. |
| Null pointer dereference in Active Directory Domain Services allows an authorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| The CONFIG_USERSPACE verification handler for the k_thread_name_copy() system call (z_vrfy_k_thread_name_copy() in kernel/thread.c) calls k_object_find() on the caller-supplied thread pointer and then dereferences the returned struct k_object without checking it for NULL. k_object_find() returns NULL whenever the supplied pointer is not a registered (static or dynamic) kernel object.
The pre-fix guard tested thread == NULL instead of ko == NULL, so an unprivileged user-mode thread that invokes k_thread_name_copy() with any non-NULL but unregistered pointer (e.g. an arbitrary address) passes the NULL test, after which the verifier reads ko->type through a NULL pointer.
Because the syscall verifier runs in supervisor mode, this NULL dereference is a kernel-mode fault that halts or reboots the system, allowing untrusted user code to crash the kernel across the userspace security boundary (denial of service). The marshaller passes the thread argument to the verifier without any prior K_SYSCALL_OBJ validation, so the bad pointer reaches the defect directly.
The flaw affects builds with CONFIG_USERSPACE and CONFIG_THREAD_NAME enabled and has been present since the special-case lookup was introduced around v2.0.0; it is present in v4.4.0 and earlier. The fix changes the guard to check the k_object_find() return value (ko == NULL) before dereferencing it. |
| strongSwan versions 4.5.0 prior to 6.0.5 contain an integer underflow vulnerability in the EAP-TTLS AVP parser that allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending crafted AVP data with invalid length fields during IKEv2 authentication. Attackers can exploit the failure to validate AVP length fields before subtraction to trigger excessive memory allocation or NULL pointer dereference, crashing the charon IKE daemon. |
| Crypt::OpenSSL::X509 versions before 2.1.3 for Perl allow denial of service via NULL pointer dereference.
X509V3_EXT_d2i(ext) returns NULL when an extension's DER value fails to parse. basicC, ia5string, and auth_att dereference its result without a NULL check. keyid_data also dereferences akid->keyid, which is NULL for an empty AKI SEQUENCE (DER 30 00) even when the parse succeeds.
A caller invoking an affected helper on an extension from an untrusted certificate triggers a SIGSEGV that crashes the Perl process. |
| A vulnerability was identified in open62541 up to 1.5.5. Affected by this issue is the function responseReadNamespacesArray of the file src/client/ua_client_connect.c of the component Shared Client Library. Such manipulation of the argument Server_NamespaceArray leads to null pointer dereference. The attack can be executed remotely. The attack requires a high level of complexity. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. The project closed the issue report, stating that this is not the official way to report a security vulnerability. |
| A flaw was found in binutils, specifically within the `readelf` utility. This vulnerability allows a local attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by tricking a user into processing a specially crafted Executable and Linkable Format (ELF) file. The exploitation of this flaw can lead to the system becoming unresponsive due to excessive resource consumption or a program crash. |
| ImageMagick before 7.1.2-26 contains a heap use-after-free vulnerability caused by missing null check when parsing XMP profiles. Attackers can craft malicious image files with specially crafted XMP data to trigger the vulnerability and cause application crashes. |
| NATS Server is a high-performance server for NATS.io, the cloud and edge native messaging system. Prior to 2.12.8 and 2.11.17, an unauthenticated peer with network access to a leafnode listener with compression enabled could crash the server during the pre-authentication leafnode handshake by sending repeated leafnode INFO protocol messages before authentication and account setup completed. This issue is fixed in versions 2.12.8 and 2.11.17. |
| NanaZip is the 7-Zip derivative intended for the modern Windows experience. Prior to 6.5.1749.0, NanaZip's seven in-house IInArchive handlers in NanaZip.Codecs unconditionally dereference the caller-supplied Indices array inside Extract when the archive engine signals extract everything by passing Indices as NULL and NumItems as 0xFFFFFFFF. This causes a NULL pointer dereference in the standard Test archive or Extract all code path for WebAssembly, ElectronAsar, Zealfs, Romfs, Ufs, Littlefs, and DotNetSingleFile archives, resulting in a process crash. This issue is fixed in version 6.5.1749.0. |
| A NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the management daemon (mgd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows a local, high-privileged attacker setting or deactivating a specific SSH configuration parameter to create a Denial of Service (DoS).
A local high-privileged user configuring or deactivating a specific 'system services ssh' configuration parameter can exploit a null pointer dereference in one of the functions used by SSH. The function attempts to dereference a null pointer when accessing certain configuration data, resulting in an mgd process crash and restart. Continued execution of these configuration commands will create a sustained Denial of Service (DoS) condition.
This issue affects:
Junos OS:
* from 22.3 before 22.3R3-S5;
* from 22.4 before 22.4R3-S10;
* from 23.2 before 23.2R2-S7;
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S8.
This issue does not affect Junos OS before 22.3R1.
Junos OS Evolved:
* from 22.3R1-EVO before 23.2R2-S7-EVO;
* from 23.4 before 23.4R2-S8-EVO.
This issue does not affect Junos OS Evolved before 22.3R1-EVO. |

| Crash in ciscodump 4.6.0 to 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.16 allows denial of service |
| Open Neural Network Exchange (ONNX) is an open standard for machine learning interoperability. From 1.9.0 before 1.22.0, onnx.version_converter.convert_version() can dereference a null pointer in Upsample_6_7::adapt_upsample_6_7() in onnx/version_converter/adapters/upsample_6_7.h when processing an untrusted model with an Upsample node that has zero inputs, causing an unrecoverable denial of service. This issue is fixed in version 1.22.0. |
| IBM WebSphere Application Server and IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty are vulnerable to denial of service in the WebSphere WebServer Plug-in component when an attacker can pass crafted requests to the web server. |
| SSH protocol dissector crash in Wireshark 4.6.0 to 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.16 allows denial of service |
| Catapult DCT2000 protocol dissector crash in Wireshark 4.6.0 to 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.16 allows denial of service |
| IEEE 802.11 protocol dissector crash in Wireshark 4.6.0 to 4.6.6 and 4.4.0 to 4.4.16 allows denial of service |
| A vulnerability was found in GNU LibreDWG up to 0.13.4. The impacted element is the function dwg_next_entity of the file src/dwg.c of the component DWG File Handler. Performing a manipulation of the argument next_obj results in null pointer dereference. The attack must be initiated from a local position. The exploit has been made public and could be used. Upgrading to version 0.14 is sufficient to resolve this issue. The patch is named dde45dac3c4d902e4d8fed150a8017b9732019c9. Upgrading the affected component is recommended. Different than CVE-2026-9503. |
| GNU patch is vulnerable to a NULL pointer dereference when processing a specially crafted unified-diff patch file. Improper handling of consecutive end-of-file newline markers can corrupt internal hunk (single block of changes in diff) data structures, causing the application to pass a NULL pointer to fwrite() during patch processing.
An attacker can trigger this condition with a malicious patch file, causing the utility to crash and resulting in a denial of service.
This issue has been fixed in the commit e6d6a4e021660679d7fc9150f981d4920f722313 |
