The ftp and scp tasks of Apache Ant can download files from a remote server. A malicious server can provide relative paths that allow it to write outside of the dedicated target directory for the download, making it possible to overwrite files of the attacker's choice using the permissions of the user running Ant in versions prior to Ant 1.10.18. In order to exploit this vulnerability, the server would either have to be malicious or be subject to a machine-in-the-middle attack. Additionally in the case of scp or the ftp task using ftps the server must pass the server identity checks performed by the tasks. For ftp tasks not using ftps a malicious server could act as a machine-in-the-middle to provide malicious files. Starting with Ant 1.10.18 both tasks will prevent writing outside of the destination directory by default. An option is available to disable this behavior in the unlikely case that the old behavior is required by existing build files. Mitigations: Users of scp and ftp (when using ftps) in any version of Ant should not bypass server identity checks. Users of ftp not using ftps should switch to ftps where possible. All users are recommended to upgrade to Apache Ant 1.10.18, which fixes this issue.

NLTK (Natural Language Toolkit) is a suite of open source Python modules, data sets, and tutorials supporting research and development in Natural Language Processing. Prior to 3.10.0-rc1, nltk.data.load() in NLTK is vulnerable to path traversal via URL-encoded path separators and traversal segments when using the nltk: URL scheme. The unsafe-path regex check is performed before url2pathname() decodes the %xx sequences (a classic decode-after-check / TOCTOU-style flaw), allowing an attacker to bypass the protection documented in NLTK's SECURITY.md and read arbitrary files from the filesystem. While literal traversal strings such as ../../../etc/passwd are correctly blocked, encoded variants such as %2fetc%2fpasswd, %2e%2e%2f..., and ..%2f..%2f slip past the regex and are subsequently decoded into a real filesystem path. This vulnerability is fixed in 3.10.0-rc1.

Attackers can craft a malicious ZIP archive with backslash path separators that bypass forward-slash validation to write arbitrary bytes to any web-server-writable path, including the public web root, achieving persistent code execution as the web-server account.

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.2 allows an authenticated attacker to read arbitrary files from the server filesystem — including server secret material (secret_key, JWT signing keys, the application database, /proc/self/environ, and other tenants' upload directories) — by supplying absolute paths or traversal sequences in the files parameter of an authenticated build request. The file contents were embedded as text attachments in the language model prompt and transmitted to the configured model endpoint, resulting in confidential data exfiltration. This bypassed the LANGFLOW_RESTRICT_LOCAL_FILE_ACCESS=true containment boundary, which was enforced for other file-reading components but not for the Chat Input to Message attachment pipeline.

IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.11.2 Langflow could allow an authenticated attacker to write arbitrary files to the server due to improper input validation in the SaveToFileComponent. The application constructs local file paths using attacker‑controlled input without sufficient sanitization when handling requests to the /api/v1/run/{flow_id} endpoint. An attacker with low‑privileged authenticated access (such as a valid API key or user session) can supply crafted path values, including absolute paths or path traversal sequences, allowing arbitrary file writes to locations writable by the Langflow process. Successful exploitation may lead to unauthorized file creation or modification, potentially resulting in further compromise depending on the deployment environment.
