CVSS v3.1 |
| Pandora contains a path traversal vulnerability in its archive extraction worker. When processing a specially crafted archive or disk image, attacker-controlled file paths could be used without ensuring that the resulting destination remained within the intended extraction directory.
An attacker able to submit a malicious file for analysis could use path traversal sequences or crafted paths to cause extracted content to be written outside the designated extraction directory, potentially overwriting files accessible to the Pandora worker process. Successful exploitation could result in unauthorized modification of application or system files, denial of service, and potentially further compromise depending on the permissions of the Pandora process and the files that can be overwritten.
The vulnerability is addressed by resolving each extraction destination path before writing and verifying that it remains below the expected extraction directory. Extraction attempts resolving outside this directory are rejected and reported as path traversal attempts. |

| Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability in GIS Informatics GisLab Laboratory Management System allows Path Traversal.
This issue affects GisLab Laboratory Management System: from 1.4.03 before 1.5. |
| Joomla Extension - joomshaper.com - Path Traversal in Gallery Image Management in SP Property < 4.1.4 - The gallery management controller tasks lacked directory confinement checks. |
| There's a vulnerability in podman where an attacker may use the kube play command to overwrite host files when the kube file container a Secrete or a ConfigMap volume mount and such volume contains a symbolic link to a host file path. In a successful attack, the attacker can only control the target file to be overwritten but not the content to be written into the file.
Binary-Affected: podman

| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to Unauthorized access |
| @fastify/http-proxy versions before 11.6.2 do not validate proxied HTTP request paths for backslash based dot-segments before forwarding them to the configured upstream. The plain HTTP request handler skips the destination validation that the WebSocket path performs, and the underlying reply-from library only rejects forward-slash traversal, so a request containing backslash dot-segments can escape the boundary set by the prefix and rewritePrefix options. An unauthenticated network attacker can use this to reach upstream paths that were meant to stay hidden behind the proxy, resulting in disclosure of internal endpoints. This is a path traversal issue (CWE-22). Users should upgrade to @fastify/http-proxy 11.6.2 or later. |
| A flaw was found in the key provider component of the keycloak-services library, which is the core engine for the Red Hat Build of Keycloak. The issue occurs because a previous fix for path probing was incomplete, allowing a realm administrator to still submit arbitrary filesystem paths as keystore parameters. This can be used to determine the existence and readability of files on the server, potentially exposing sensitive system information. |
| Dell SCG 5.0 Appliance versions prior to 5.36.00.16 and Dell SCG 5.0 Application versions prior to 5.36.00.00, contains an Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') vulnerability. An unauthenticated attacker with remote access could potentially exploit this vulnerability, leading to remote execution. |

| Improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory ('path traversal') in Visual Studio Code allows an unauthorized attacker to bypass a security feature over a network. |

| n8n is an open source workflow automation platform. Prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2, the Elasticsearch and ElasticSecurity nodes interpolated workflow-controlled index and document identifiers directly into REST request paths. An identifier containing path separators or dot segments could select another index or a cluster administration endpoint under the stored Elasticsearch credential. The affected request construction includes packages/nodes-base/nodes/Elastic/Elasticsearch/GenericFunctions.ts and the missing toPathSegment encoding. This issue is fixed in versions 1.123.76, 2.37.7 and 2.38.2. |
| The shell theme installer in gnome-tweaks extracts user-supplied ZIP archives without validating archive member paths. As a result, a crafted theme archive can write files outside ~/.themes by using ../ path traversal, absolute paths, or symlink entries. |
| CommServe contained a path traversal issue affecting information disclosure. Software customers upgrade to resolved maintenance release. Update CommServe. |
| Chainlit through 2.12.0 fails to validate the client-supplied socket.io sessionId parameter, allowing unauthenticated attackers to traverse filesystem paths by injecting absolute or relative path sequences. Attackers can craft malicious sessionId values that escape the upload directory and recursively delete arbitrary directories accessible to the service process. |
| IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.2 could allow a remote attacker to traverse directories on the system. An attacker could send a specially crafted URL request containing "dot dot " sequences ( /.. /) to view arbitrary files on the system. |
| IBM Langflow OSS 1.0.0 through 1.10.2 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to obtain sensitive information due to improper limitation of a pathname to a restricted directory. |
| h3 versions before 1.15.9 contain a path traversal vulnerability in the serveStatic utility. A double-decoding flaw allows a request path containing double-encoded dot sequences (e.g. %252e%252e) to be decoded to %2e%2e, which survives resolveDotSegments() because that function only checks for literal '.' characters. When the resulting asset ID is resolved by URL-based backends (CDN, S3, object storage), %2e%2e is interpreted as '..' per RFC 3986, enabling path traversal to read arbitrary files from the backend. |
