CVSS v3.1 |
| Ghidra through 12.2 contains an uncontrolled memory allocation vulnerability in BinaryField.read() that allows attackers to exhaust heap memory via an unchecked 32-bit length field. Attackers can persuade users to import a crafted GZF packed database file, triggering an OutOfMemoryError in PackedDatabase.open() that aborts the import and denies service. |
| Vyper from 0.2.13 before 0.2.15 allocates storage slots for @nonreentrant reentrancy locks at the same locations as contract storage variables. When a function using @nonreentrant is called, setting the lock overwrites the overlapping storage variable, corrupting contract state and breaking the contract's intended logic. |
| An Out-of-bounds Write vulnerability in the routing protocol daemon (rpd) of Juniper Networks Junos OS and Junos OS Evolved allows an eBGP peer which has not negotiated four-octet-AS capability sending a specifically malformed BGP update to cause a Denial-of-Service (DoS). |
| The SOAP HTTP client guards its response buffer growth with a check that relies on signed integer overflow, which is undefined behaviour and is not guaranteed to trigger. When the check is optimised away, a malicious SOAP server can make the client allocate a buffer far smaller than the data it then writes into it, producing a heap buffer overflow. |
| A Code Injection exists in treekill on Windows which allows a remote code execution when an attacker is able to control the input into the command. |
| Netgate pfSense CE 2.7.0 through 2.9.0 contains an OS command injection vulnerability that allows authenticated users with QinQ edit privilege to run commands by storing an unvalidated parent interface name. Attackers can save a crafted 'if' value, then edit the QinQ entry so it is interpolated into ifconfig shell commands, executing commands as root. |
| OPNsense is a FreeBSD based firewall and routing platform. Prior to version 26.1.11, the Firewall Alias GeoIP importer's process_zip() and process_gzip() paths in src/opnsense/scripts/filter/lib/alias/geoip.py use an unvalidated CSV country_code value to construct output filenames below /usr/local/share/GeoIP/alias. A user with Firewall Alias Edit privilege can configure an attacker-controlled GeoIP source URL and supply an archive whose country code traverses into another existing directory, causing attacker-controlled content to be written as root with an -IPv4 or -IPv6 suffix. A crafted newsyslog fragment and oversized log file can use the default hourly root cron job to execute commands as root, resulting in complete firewall compromise. This issue is fixed in version 26.1.11. |
| A flaw was found in spice-server. Multiple migration data handlers use client-supplied offsets from SPICE_MSGC_MIGRATE_DATA messages without bounds validation, allowing a malicious authenticated SPICE client during VM live migration to read arbitrary heap memory or trigger heap corruption via out-of-bounds read and write operations on the message buffer. |
| OS command injection in the Terraform hook in AWS SAM CLI before 1.166.2 might allow an actor who can influence the Terraform configuration or plan file consumed by a build to execute arbitrary commands as the build user on the host running the build via a crafted Terraform resource address.
To remediate this issue, users should upgrade to version 1.166.2 or later. |
| The network management service on affected Kiloview E3 NDI encoder firmware fails to sanitize one field used when configuring static routes via the web management API. An authenticated web user with permission to configure static routes can exploit this to execute arbitrary operating system commands as root, and the malicious configuration persists across reboots. Successful exploitation could result in full device compromise, including exposure of stored credentials and cryptographic material. |
| The system control service on affected Kiloview E3 NDI encoder firmware fails to sanitize the hostname parameter accepted by its device naming endpoint, passing it unquoted into a shell command. An authenticated web user with access to this function can embed characters to execute arbitrary operating system commands as root, resulting in full device compromise. |
| The network management service on affected Kiloview E3 NDI encoder firmware fails to validate the network interface name accepted by its link maintenance address configuration endpoint before passing it to a shell command, unlike sibling handlers that perform the same validation. An authenticated web user with permission to configure network settings can exploit this to execute arbitrary operating system commands as root. |
| Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command in certain ASUS routers allows remote user to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges via crafted parameters sent to the router while the device is in its factory-default state.Refer to the ' Security Update for ASUS Router Firmware ' section on the ASUS Security Advisory for more information. |
| MariaDB server is a community developed fork of MySQL server. From 10.6.1 until 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2, ST_AsText can write beyond an allocated output buffer when converting deeply nested GeometryCollections because recursive WKT serialization does not account for bytes consumed or reserve sufficient space. A low-privileged remote attacker can submit a specially crafted GIS object to corrupt memory and potentially achieve code execution when combined with another vulnerability. This issue is fixed in versions 10.6.28, 10.11.19, 11.4.13, 11.8.9, 12.3.3, and 13.0.2. |
| Improper Neutralization of Special Elements used in an OS Command ("OS Command Injection") vulnerability in Drupal Cloud allows OS Command Injection. This issue affects Cloud versions: from 0.0.0 to 7.0.1. |
| virtualenv is a tool for creating isolated virtual python environments. Prior to 21.14.9, virtualenv's ScriptMakerCustom and pip pass an incompletely quoted interpreter path to distlib ScriptMaker when generating POSIX console scripts. When the path contains a space or produces a shebang longer than 127 bytes, distlib emits a /bin/sh wrapper whose double-quoted interpreter path still expands command substitutions and backticks. An attacker who influences the environment destination can therefore execute commands with the user's privileges when the user later runs a generated launcher; environment creation and activation do not trigger the command. Existing launchers are not repaired by upgrading virtualenv alone and must be regenerated, while a later independent pip installation or upgrade can reintroduce an affected launcher because pip's vendored distlib is unchanged. The virtualenv fix is released in version 21.14.9. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix BPF_F_CPU validation for sparse CPU IDs
BPF_F_CPU stores the target CPU ID in the upper 32 bits of the map
operation flags. bpf_map_check_op_flags() currently compares that ID
with num_possible_cpus(), which is the number of possible CPUs rather
than a bound on CPU IDs.
On an arm64 QEMU guest with a CPU device-tree hole, the possible CPU
mask was 0,2-3. A userspace program using raw bpf() syscalls creates
a BPF_MAP_TYPE_PERCPU_ARRAY and performs update and lookup operations
for each CPU by setting BPF_F_CPU and the CPU ID in the flags.
With the old check, CPU 1 is incorrectly accepted while valid CPU 3 is
rejected with -ERANGE. The CPU 1 update then reaches the per-CPU map
access path and triggers:
Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ...
pc : __pi_memcpy_generic+0x5c/0x22c
lr : bpf_percpu_array_update+0x2dc/0x2e8
Call trace:
__pi_memcpy_generic
bpf_map_update_value
map_update_elem
__sys_bpf
Check the CPU ID against nr_cpu_ids and cpu_possible() instead. This
rejects CPU IDs outside the valid range and CPUs absent from the
possible mask, while allowing valid sparse CPU IDs. |
| A flaw has been found in DrayTek Vigor2960 1.5.1.6 Revision 8218. Affected by this issue is the function sub_182B0 of the file /cgi-bin/mainfunction.cgi of the component CGI Interface. This manipulation of the argument usefile/usescript/option causes os command injection. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been published and may be used. The vendor explains: "2960 1.5.1.7 has corrected many security issues. And 2960 is EoS with limited support, only major issues would be reviewed(e.g. unauthenticated vuln.)". This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| A vulnerability was found in H3C Magic NX15 100R017. This issue affects the function sub_416874 of the file /usr/bin/usrlist. Performing a manipulation results in os command injection. Remote exploitation of the attack is possible. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
scsi: block: Fix zones_cond out-of-bounds write on zone report
blk_revalidate_disk_zones() sizes the zones_cond array from the disk
capacity and zone size, but the index used by blk_revalidate_zone_cond()
comes from the device-driven report_zones() walk and is never checked
against the array size. A device reporting more zones than fit the array
makes blk_zone_set_cond() write out of bounds.
One way to reach this is a zone count exceeding 32 bits: both
blk_revalidate_zone_args.nr_zones and struct zoned_disk_info.nr_zones are
unsigned int, so a disk advertising more than UINT_MAX zones (e.g. 2^32 +
1024 zones of one 512-byte logical block) gets its zone count truncated to
a small value, undersizing the array while the report walk keeps counting
upward.
Check the index against the array size before storing the zone condition,
and refuse to revalidate when the zone count does not fit 32 bits. |
