CVSS v3.1 |
| Emerson ValveLink products
use a fixed or controlled search path to find resources, but one or
more locations in that path can be under the control of unintended
actors. |
| A DLL hijacking vulnerability in the AMD Software Installer could allow an attacker to achieve privilege escalation potentially resulting in arbitrary code execution. |
| Arris VIP1113 devices through 2025-05-30 with KreaTV SDK allow file overwrite via TFTP because a remote filename with a space character allows an attacker to control the local filename. |
| Arris VIP1113 devices through 2025-05-30 with KreaTV SDK allow booting an arbitrary image via a crafted /usr/bin/gunzip file. |
| Notepad++ is a free and open-source source code editor. In versions 8.8.1 and prior, a privilege escalation vulnerability exists in the Notepad++ v8.8.1 installer that allows unprivileged users to gain SYSTEM-level privileges through insecure executable search paths. An attacker could use social engineering or clickjacking to trick users into downloading both the legitimate installer and a malicious executable to the same directory (typically Downloads folder - which is known as Vulnerable directory). Upon running the installer, the attack executes automatically with SYSTEM privileges. This issue has been fixed and will be released in version 8.8.2. |
| In Sentry 25.1.0 through 25.5.1, an authenticated attacker can access a project's issue endpoint and perform unauthorized actions (such as adding a comment) without being a member of the project's team. A seven-digit issue ID must be known (it is not treated as a secret and might be mentioned publicly, or it could be predicted). |
| Uncontrolled search path element issue exists in TkEasyGUI versions prior to v1.0.22. If this vulnerability is exploited, arbitrary code may be executed with the privilege of running the program. |
| An unquoted service path in Kingosoft Technology Ltd Kingo ROOT v1.5.8.3353 allows attackers to escalate privileges via placing a crafted executable file into a parent folder. |
| Improper Protection of Alternate Path (CWE-424) in the AppSuite of desknet's NEO V4.0R1.0 to V9.0R2.0 allows an attacker to create malicious AppSuite applications. |
| RAID Manager provided by Century Corporation registers a Windows service with an unquoted file path. A user with the write permission on the root directory of the system drive may execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privilege. |
| Multiple NAS management applications provided by I-O DATA DEVICE, INC. register Windows services with unquoted file paths. A user with the write permission on the root directory of the system drive may execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privilege. |
| NAS Navigator2 Windows version by BUFFALO INC. registers a Windows service with an unquoted file path. A user with the write permission on the root directory of the system drive may execute arbitrary code with SYSTEM privilege. |
| Wacom WTabletService 6.6.7-3 contains an unquoted service path vulnerability that allows local attackers to execute malicious code with elevated privileges. Attackers can insert an executable file in the service path to run unauthorized code when the service restarts or the system reboots. |
| Uncontrolled search path in Intel(R) Graphics Command Center Service bundled in some Intel(R) Graphics Windows DCH driver software before versions 31.0.101.3790/31.0.101.2114 may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. |
| An issue was discovered in Malwarebytes before 4.6.14.326 and before 5.1.5.116 (and Nebula 2020-10-21 and later). There is a Race condition that leads to code execution because of a lack of locks between file verification and execution. |
| Uncontrolled Search Path Element vulnerability in OpenText Secure Content Manager on Windows allows DLL Side-Loading.This issue affects Secure Content Manager: 23.4.
End-users can potentially exploit the vulnerability to execute malicious code in the trusted context of the thick-client application. |
| A DLL injection vulnerability exists in Commvault for Windows 11.20.0, 11.28.0, 11.32.0, 11.34.0, and 11.36.0. During the installation of maintenance updates, an attacker with local access may exploit uncontrolled search path or DLL loading behavior to execute arbitrary code with elevated privileges. The vulnerability has been resolved in versions 11.20.202, 11.28.124, 11.32.65, 11.34.37, and 11.36.15. |
| Potential privilege escalation issue in Revenera InstallShield version 2023 R1 running a renamed Setup.exe on Windows. When a local administrator executes a renamed Setup.exe, the MPR.dll may get loaded from an insecure location and can result in a privilege escalation. The issue has been fixed in versions 2023 R2 and later. |

A potential security vulnerability has been identified in VSS Provider and CAPI Proxy software for certain HPE MSA storage products. This vulnerability could be exploited to gain elevated privilege on the system.

| Untrusted Search Path vulnerability in OpenText™ Application Lifecycle Management (ALM),Quality Center allows Code Inclusion. The vulnerability allows a user to archive a malicious DLLs on the system prior to the installation.
This issue affects Application Lifecycle Management (ALM),Quality Center: 15.00, 15.01, 15.01 P1, 15.01 P2, 15.01 P3, 15.01 P4, 15.01 P5, 15.51, 15.51 P1, 15.51 P2, 15.51 P3, 16.00, 16.01 P1. |
