CVE-2026-53224 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: sctp: validate embedded INIT chunk and address list lengths in cookie sctp_unpack_cookie() only checked that the embedded INIT chunk length did not exceed the remaining cookie payload, but did not ensure that the INIT chunk is large enough to contain a complete INIT header. A malformed COOKIE_ECHO can therefore carry a truncated INIT chunk whose length field is smaller than sizeof(struct sctp_init_chunk). Later, sctp_process_init() accesses INIT parameters unconditionally, which may lead to out-of-bounds reads. In addition, raw_addr_list_len is not fully validated against the remaining cookie payload. When cookie authentication is disabled, an attacker can supply an oversized raw_addr_list_len and cause sctp_raw_to_bind_addrs() to read beyond the end of the cookie. The address parser also lacks sufficient bounds checks for parameter headers and lengths, allowing malformed address parameters to trigger out-of-bounds reads. Fix this by: - requiring the embedded INIT chunk length to be at least sizeof(struct sctp_init_chunk); - validating that the INIT chunk and raw address list together fit within the cookie payload; - verifying sufficient data exists for each address parameter header and payload before parsing it. Note that sctp_verify_init() must be called after sctp_unpack_cookie() and before sctp_process_init() when cookie authentication is disabled. This will be addressed in a separate patch.
CVE-2026-45940 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: net: stmmac: fix oops when split header is enabled For GMAC4, when split header is enabled, in some rare cases, the hardware does not fill buf2 of the first descriptor with payload. Thus we cannot assume buf2 is always fully filled if it is not the last descriptor. Otherwise, the length of buf2 of the second descriptor will be calculated wrong and cause an oops: Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address ffff00019246bfc0 ... x2 : 0000000000000040 x1 : ffff00019246bfc0 x0 : ffff00009246c000 Call trace: dcache_inval_poc+0x28/0x58 (P) dma_direct_sync_single_for_cpu+0x38/0x6c __dma_sync_single_for_cpu+0x34/0x6c stmmac_napi_poll_rx+0x8f0/0xb60 __napi_poll.constprop.0+0x30/0x144 net_rx_action+0x160/0x274 handle_softirqs+0x1b8/0x1fc ... To fix this, the PL bit-field in RDES3 register is used for all descriptors, whether it is the last descriptor or not.
CVE-2026-89719 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 4.1 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: zram: fix out-of-bounds access in read_block_state() read_block_state() calculates nr_pages before taking dev_lock. If the device is reset and reinitialized with a smaller disksize before lock acquisition, nr_pages still describes the old table. The subsequent loop can then call slot_lock() past the end of the newly allocated table. Read disksize after acquiring dev_lock and checking that the device is initialized. The read lock then keeps the table and its bound stable for the duration of the scan.
CVE-2026-31505 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-21 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iavf: fix out-of-bounds writes in iavf_get_ethtool_stats() iavf incorrectly uses real_num_tx_queues for ETH_SS_STATS. Since the value could change in runtime, we should use num_tx_queues instead. Moreover iavf_get_ethtool_stats() uses num_active_queues while iavf_get_sset_count() and iavf_get_stat_strings() use real_num_tx_queues, which triggers out-of-bounds writes when we do "ethtool -L" and "ethtool -S" simultaneously [1]. For example when we change channels from 1 to 8, Thread 3 could be scheduled before Thread 2, and out-of-bounds writes could be triggered in Thread 3: Thread 1 (ethtool -L) Thread 2 (work) Thread 3 (ethtool -S) iavf_set_channels() ... iavf_alloc_queues() -> num_active_queues = 8 iavf_schedule_finish_config() iavf_get_sset_count() real_num_tx_queues: 1 -> buffer for 1 queue iavf_get_ethtool_stats() num_active_queues: 8 -> out-of-bounds! iavf_finish_config() -> real_num_tx_queues = 8 Use immutable num_tx_queues in all related functions to avoid the issue. CVE-2021-48019 1 Vyperlang 1 Vyper 2026-10-21 4.8 Medium
Vyper before 0.2.9 deploys forwarder proxies through the built-in create_forwarder_to function that report a fixed 4096-byte RETURNDATASIZE rather than the actual return data size. Calls through these proxies can yield corrupted data when a function returns more than 4096 bytes without return data sanitation, and fail strict return-size checks such as SafeERC20.safeTransfer.
CVE-2026-112945 1 Vitejs 2 Vite, Vite-plus 2026-10-20 6.1 Medium
Vite is a frontend tooling framework for JavaScript. Prior to 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3, applications using custom middleware are vulnerable when they pass an unchanged browser request URL to server.transformIndexHtml. getHtmlFilename uses the query-bearing request URL to resolve an existing local file while preserving attacker-supplied leading slashes in the generated proxy module URL. If the transformed HTML contains an inline module script and a victim browser loads the crafted development-server page, the leading double slash makes the browser fetch and execute an attacker-controlled module in the Vite-served page. This execution can expose sensitive page data or permit critical actions available to the affected application. This issue is fixed in versions 6.4.4, 7.3.7, 8.1.6, 8.2.4, and 8.3.3.

CVE-2026-72003 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-19 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: brcmfmac: cyw: fix heap overflow on a short auth frame brcmf_notify_auth_frame_rx() takes the frame length from the firmware event and copies the frame body with the management header offset subtracted: u32 mgmt_frame_len = e->datalen - sizeof(struct brcmf_rx_mgmt_data); ... memcpy(&mgmt_frame->u, frame, mgmt_frame_len - offsetof(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u)); The only length check is e->datalen >= sizeof(*rxframe), so mgmt_frame_len can be anything from 0 up. offsetof(struct ieee80211_mgmt, u) is 24. When mgmt_frame_len is below that, the subtraction wraps as an unsigned value to a huge length. The memcpy then runs far past the kzalloc'd buffer. A malicious or malfunctioning AP can make the frame short during the external SAE auth exchange, so this is a remotely triggered heap overflow. Reject frames shorter than the management header offset before the copy.
