CVSS v3.1 |
Kafka UI is an Open-Source Web UI for Apache Kafka Management. Kafka UI API allows users to connect to different Kafka brokers by specifying their network address and port. As a separate feature, it also provides the ability to monitor the performance of Kafka brokers by connecting to their JMX ports. JMX is based on the RMI protocol, so it is inherently susceptible to deserialization attacks. A potential attacker can exploit this feature by connecting Kafka UI backend to its own malicious broker. This vulnerability affects the deployments where one of the following occurs: 1. dynamic.config.enabled property is set in settings. It's not enabled by default, but it's suggested to be enabled in many tutorials for Kafka UI, including its own README.md. OR 2. an attacker has access to the Kafka cluster that is being connected to Kafka UI. In this scenario the attacker can exploit this vulnerability to expand their access and execute code on Kafka UI as well. Instead of setting up a legitimate JMX port, an attacker can create an RMI listener that returns a malicious serialized object for any RMI call. In the worst case it could lead to remote code execution as Kafka UI has the required gadget chains in its classpath. This issue may lead to post-auth remote code execution. This is particularly dangerous as Kafka-UI does not have authentication enabled by default. This issue has been addressed in version 0.7.2. All users are advised to upgrade. There are no known workarounds for this vulnerability. These issues were discovered and reported by the GitHub Security lab and is also tracked as GHSL-2023-230.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in ThemeGoods PhotoMe photome allows Object Injection. This issue affects PhotoMe: from n/a through <= 5.6.11.
An information disclosure vulnerability exists in OneLogin AD Connector versions prior to 6.1.5 via the /api/adc/v4/configuration endpoint. An attacker with access to a valid directory_token—which may be retrievable from host registry keys or improperly secured logs—can retrieve a plaintext response disclosing sensitive credentials. These may include an API key, AWS IAM access and secret keys, and a base64-encoded JWT signing key used in the tenant’s SSO IdP configuration.
cgi-bin/fdmcgiwebv2.cgi on Swissphone DiCal-RED 4009 devices allows an authenticated attacker to gain access to arbitrary files on the device's file system.
Deserialization of untrusted data can occur in versions 3.7.0 or newer of Ydata's ydata-profiling open-source library, enabling a malicously crafted report to run arbitrary code on an end user's system when loaded.
Deserialization of Untrusted Data vulnerability in AncoraThemes SevenHills sevenhills allows Object Injection. This issue affects SevenHills: from n/a through <= 1.6.2.
SAP MDM Server ReadString function allows an attacker to send specially crafted packets which could trigger a memory read access violation in the server process that would then fail and exit unexpectedly causing high impact on availability with no impact on confidentiality and integrity of the application.
SAP MDM Server Read function allows an attacker to send specially crafted packets which could trigger a memory read access violation in the server process that would then fail and exit unexpectedly causing high impact on availability with no impact on confidentiality and integrity of the application.
SAP MDM Server allows an attacker to gain control of existing client sessions and execute certain functions without having to re-authenticate giving the ability to access or modify non-sensitive information or consume sufficient resources which could degrade the performance of the server causing low impact on confidentiality, integrity and availibility of the application.
SPX (aka php-spx) through 0.4.15 allows SPX_UI_URI Directory Traversal to read arbitrary files.
GRAU DATA Blocky before 3.1 stores passwords encrypted rather than hashed. At the login screen, the user's password is compared to the user's decrypted cleartext password. An attacker with Windows admin or debugging rights can therefore steal the user's Blocky password and from there impersonate that local user.
Prior to 3385, the user-controlled role parameter enters the application in the Kubernetes::RoleVerificationsController. The role parameter flows into the RoleConfigFile initializer and then into the Kubernetes::Util.parse_file method where it is unsafely deserialized using the YAML.load_stream method. This issue may lead to Remote Code Execution (RCE). This vulnerability is fixed in 3385.
skops is a Python library which helps users share and ship their scikit-learn based models. In versions 0.12.0 and below, the Card.get_model does not contain any logic to prevent arbitrary code execution. The Card.get_model function supports both joblib and skops for model loading. When loading .skops models, it uses skops' secure loading with trusted type validation, raising errors for untrusted types unless explicitly allowed. However, when non-.zip file formats are provided, the function silently falls back to joblib without warning. Unlike skops, joblib allows arbitrary code execution during loading, bypassing security measures and potentially enabling malicious code execution. This issue is fixed in version 0.13.0.
| Insertion of Sensitive Information into Log File (CWE-532) in the Gallagher Command Centre Alarm Transmitter feature could allow an authenticated Operator to view some security sensitive information to which they have not been granted access.
This issue affects: Command Centre Server 9.10 prior to 9.10.2149 (MR4), 9.00 prior to 9.00.2374 (MR5), 8.90 prior to 8.90.2356 (MR6), all versions of 8.80 and prior. |
The Improper link resolution before file access ('Link Following') vulnerability in SonicWall Connect Tunnel (version 12.4.3.271 and earlier of Windows client) allows users with standard privileges to create arbitrary folders and files, potentially leading to local Denial of Service (DoS) attack.
When logs are written to a widely-writable directory (the default), an unprivileged attacker may predict a privileged process's log file path and pre-create a symbolic link to a sensitive file in its place. When that privileged process runs, it will follow the planted symlink and overwrite that sensitive file. To fix that, glog now causes the program to exit (with status code 2) when it finds that the configured log file already exists.
Deserialization of untrusted data can occur in versions 2.4.0 or newer of the Cleanlab project, enabling a maliciously crafted datalab.pkl file to run arbitrary code on an end user’s system when the data directory is loaded.
Requests is a HTTP library. Due to a URL parsing issue, Requests releases prior to 2.32.4 may leak .netrc credentials to third parties for specific maliciously-crafted URLs. Users should upgrade to version 2.32.4 to receive a fix. For older versions of Requests, use of the .netrc file can be disabled with `trust_env=False` on one's Requests Session.
A code injection vulnerability in the SecuSUITE Server Web Administration Portal of SecuSUITE versions 5.0.420 and earlier could allow an attacker to potentially inject script commands or other executable content into the server that would run with root privilege.
NVIDIA NVTabular for Linux contains a vulnerability in the Workflow component, where a user could cause a deserialization issue. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, information disclosure, and data tampering.
