CVE-2026-99136 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dm-crypt: fix a tiny race condition in crypt_dec_pending crypt_dec_pending reads io->error before calling atomic_dec_and_test. Another context, for example crypt_endio called from an interrupt, may set io->error and drop its reference between the read and the decrement. crypt_dec_pending then drops the last reference and completes the bio with the stale status - so a read that failed and was never decrypted, or a write that failed, is reported as successful. The read was placed before the decrement by commit b35f8caa0890 ("dm crypt: wait for endio to complete before destruction"), because that commit freed dm_crypt_io before calling bio_endio. This is no longer the case, dm_crypt_io lives in the per-bio data now. Read io->error after atomic_dec_and_test instead. atomic_dec_and_test is fully ordered, so no additional barrier is needed.
CVE-2026-99137 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 3.6 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cifs: don't update i_size in cifs_do_truncate without a cached handle If find_writable_file() returns null, cifs_file_flush will return 0 without issuing set_file_size, and the outer 'if (!rc)' block will set i_size to 0 before telling the server to truncate. If the cifs_open() then fails, the inode will have size 0, while the server file is unchanged. Move the netfs_resize_file() and cifs_setsize() into the 'if (cfile)', so they only run after a successful set_file_size. In the no-handle else branch, evict stale pages with truncate_inode_pages before the O_TRUNC open to dispose of old cache pages, and let the open response set the i_size.
CVE-2026-99138 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix use-after-free in do_tcp_getsockopt(TCP_CC_INFO) do_tcp_getsockopt() reads icsk->icsk_ca_ops and dereferences the get_info function pointer without rcu_read_lock(). With BPF struct_ops congestion control, ca_ops can point to dynamically allocated memory that is freed concurrently, resulting in a use-after-free when the kernel dereferences or calls through the stale pointer. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in do_tcp_getsockopt+0x2037/0x23e0 Read of size 8 at addr ffff888013701258 by task exploit/149 do_tcp_getsockopt+0x2037/0x23e0 (net/ipv4/tcp.c:4564) tcp_getsockopt+0x91/0xf0 __sys_getsockopt+0xf7/0x170 Fix this by wrapping the ca_ops load and get_info call within rcu_read_lock()/rcu_read_unlock(), and using READ_ONCE() to load the icsk_ca_ops pointer.
CVE-2026-99139 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tcp: fix use-after-free in do_tcp_getsockopt(TCP_CONGESTION) do_tcp_getsockopt() reads icsk->icsk_ca_ops->name without holding rcu_read_lock(). Since commit 0baf26b0fcd7 ("bpf: tcp: Support tcp_congestion_ops in bpf"), icsk_ca_ops can point to dynamically allocated BPF struct_ops memory that may be freed concurrently via setsockopt(TCP_CONGESTION), leading to a use-after-free. BUG: KASAN: slab-use-after-free in _copy_to_user+0x37/0x60 Read of size 16 at addr ffff888013505260 by task exploit/149 _copy_to_user+0x37/0x60 do_tcp_getsockopt+0x158a/0x2460 (net/ipv4/tcp.c:4585) tcp_getsockopt+0x91/0xf0 __sys_getsockopt+0xf7/0x170 Fix this by holding rcu_read_lock() around the ca_ops->name access, using READ_ONCE() to load icsk_ca_ops, and copying the name to a stack buffer before releasing the lock. Also annotate the relevant icsk_ca_ops stores with WRITE_ONCE() to fix the accompanying KCSAN data-race issue.
CVE-2026-99140 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 1.9 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Fix hist trigger timestamps for buffered events Syzkaller triggered a WARN_ON_ONCE(!nest) warning: WARNING: kernel/trace/ring_buffer.c:821 at ring_buffer_event_time_stamp Call trace: ring_buffer_event_time_stamp hist_field_timestamp hist_fn_call event_hist_trigger event_triggers_call __event_trigger_test_discard trace_event_buffer_commit do_trace_event_raw_event_sched_switch trace_event_raw_event_sched_switch The warning is probabilistically reproducible and is related to syzkaller executing the following commands: echo 'prev_pid == 999999' > events/sched/sched_switch/filter echo 'hist:keys=common_timestamp' > events/sched/sched_switch/trigger The specific triggering process is as follows: CPU 0 CPU 1 (context switching) (echo 'hist:keys=common_timestamp' > \ events/sched/sched_switch/trigger) do_trace_event_raw_event_##call trace_event_buffer_lock_reserve if (!tr->no_filter_buffering_ref && trace_file->flags & EVENT_FILE_FL_FILTERED) return entry; // return directly event_hist_trigger_parse hist_register_trigger tracing_set_filter_buffering(file->tr, true); tr->no_filter_buffering_ref++; __trace_buffer_lock_reserve rb_start_commit local_inc(&cpu_buffer->committing); // skipped and not executed trace_event_buffer_commit __event_trigger_test_discard event_triggers_call event_hist_trigger hist_fn_call hist_field_timestamp ring_buffer_event_time_stamp nest = local_read(&cpu_buffer->committing); WARN_ON_ONCE(!nest) // trigger warning The root cause is that when an event file has a filter attached and the hist trigger has not yet been attached, trace_event_buffer_lock_reserve() writes the event into the per-CPU trace_buffered_event temp buffer instead of reserving it in the ring buffer, so cpu_buffer->committing is not incremented. When the event is later processed at commit time by a hist trigger, hist_field_timestamp() -> ring_buffer_event_time_stamp() sees a zero committing count, triggering WARN_ON_ONCE(!nest). tracing_event_time_stamp() was added by commit d8279bfc5e959 ("tracing: Add tracing_event_time_stamp() API") for exactly this case: if the event is the per-CPU trace_buffered_event, it returns the current ring buffer timestamp. But it never gained a caller. Use it in hist_field_timestamp(), so that a hist trigger that races onto a buffered event records the current time, which is only marginally later than when the event was recorded, instead of warning and recording a bogus timestamp.
CVE-2026-99142 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Check operator stack capacity before pushing predicate_parse() uses the first operator stack entry before processing any opening parentheses. A push then increments top before writing. The existing check still permits that write when top already points to the last allocated entry, which can access beyond the operator stack. Reject the push when top reaches the last allocated entry.
CVE-2026-99146 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/i915/dmc: Add sanity check for DMC load address For DMC firmware header version 3, the firmware load address is stored in dmc_info->start_mmioaddr and later used by dmc_load_program(). Unlike the MMIO address table, the firmware load address is not validated. Add a sanity check to ensure it is within the valid range. CVE-2026-99147 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/exec: don't immediately add prelocked obj to array of locked objs When a contention is detected the drm_exec object grabs a reference to the contended object, unlocks all other objects and pre-locks the contended one before anything else. The problem is that it is possible that this pre-locked object was about to be destroyed and drm_exec is now holding the last reference to it. So we never actually see this pre-locked object again to be explicitly locked and so also never reserve a slot for a dma_fence object on it. Should the driver now use drm_exec_for_each_locked_object() to add a new fence to all locked objects we eventually see a warning or even a BUG_ON() to prevent random memory corruption. Fix this by keeping the prelocked object out of the array of locked objs until it was explicitly mentioned by the driver again. If the prelocked object is never mentioned again by the driver just unlock and drop the reference at the end of the locking loop.
CVE-2026-99149 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 2.5 Low
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: fix GEM object leak on ENOMEM in userptr ioctl When amdgpu_hmm_range_alloc() fails amdgpu_gem_userptr_ioctl() returns -ENOMEM right away and skips the cleanup every other error path goes through. The GEM object, the bo->parent reference on the VM root and the MMU notifier registration are all left behind. Use release_object here, not user_pages_done, range is still NULL at this point. CVE-2026-99150 1 Linux 2 Linux, Linux Kernel 2026-10-30 4.4 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: don't drop the runtime PM reference twice in amdgpu_gpr amdgpu_debugfs_gpr_read() drops its runtime PM reference right after reading the wave registers. When copying them to userspace fails, it jumps to the err label, which drops the reference a second time. A read into a bad buffer on Navi31 either steals a reference somebody else holds (power/runtime_usage goes from 1 to 0) or underflows the count: amdgpu 0000:03:00.0: Runtime PM usage count underflow! The registers are already in the kernel buffer at that point, so finish the hardware access first and copy the buffer with a single copy_to_user() instead of the put_user() loop with its own error path. CVE-2026-115644 1 Apache 1 Kafka 2026-10-30 5.6 Medium
Apache Kafka Connect contains an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting the admin REST API when admin.listeners is configured with a separate listener from the main listeners property. When operators isolate the admin REST API by explicitly configuring the "admin.listeners" property, REST extensions specified via rest.extension.classes (such as BasicAuthSecurityRestExtension) are not registered or applied to the admin resource configuration. While the primary REST API listener (configured via listeners) enforces configured authentication and authorization filters, endpoints mounted under the separate admin listener (/admin/loggers) fail to inherit or instantiate these extension filters. As a result, the admin logger endpoint accepts unauthenticated read and write requests even when security extensions are active on the main listener. Impact: An unauthenticated attacker with network access to the admin listener can: 1. Read the complete set of logger names and levels, disclosing loaded class names and which security extensions are in use. 2. Write logger levels, including with scope=cluster which propagates the change to all workers in the Connect cluster. This can be used to suppress logging (setting root to OFF) or generate excessive log output (setting root to TRACE), potentially impacting availability and observability. Mitigation: Users who cannot upgrade immediately can remove the admin.listeners configuration (or leave it unset). When unset, admin resources share the regular listener and inherit its security extensions. Resolution: From Apache Kafka 4.2.2, 4.3.2, and 4.4.0, we make sure the REST extensions specified via "rest.extension.classes" will also apply to "admin.listeners".
