CVSS v3.1 |
The wav_open_read function in frontend/input.c in Freeware Advanced Audio Coder (FAAC) 1.28 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (large loop) via a crafted wav file.
In libavformat/asfdec_f.c in FFmpeg 3.3.3, a DoS in asf_build_simple_index() due to lack of an EOF (End of File) check might cause huge CPU consumption. When a crafted ASF file, which claims a large "ict" field in the header but does not contain sufficient backing data, is provided, the for loop would consume huge CPU and memory resources, since there is no EOF check inside the loop.
Scrapy 1.4 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via large files because arbitrarily many files are read into memory, which is especially problematic if the files are then individually written in a separate thread to a slow storage resource, as demonstrated by interaction between dataReceived (in core/downloader/handlers/http11.py) and S3FilesStore.
ReadWEBPImage in coders/webp.c in ImageMagick 7.0.6-5 has an issue where memory allocation is excessive because it depends only on a length field in a header.
The implementation of the OSPF protocol in VMware NSX-V Edge 6.2.x prior to 6.2.8 and NSX-V Edge 6.3.x prior to 6.3.3 doesn't correctly handle the link-state advertisement (LSA). A rogue LSA may exploit this issue resulting in continuous sending of LSAs between two routers eventually going in loop or loss of connectivity.
Designate 2015.1.0 through 1.0.0.0b1 as packaged in OpenStack Kilo does not enforce RecordSets per domain, and Records per RecordSet quotas when processing an internal zone file transfer, which might allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (infinite loop) via a crafted resource record set.
Memory leak in the NewXMLTree function in magick/xml-tree.c in ImageMagick before 6.9.4-7 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted XML file.
Memory leak in the ReadPSDLayers function in coders/psd.c in ImageMagick before 6.9.6-3 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted image file.
libgedit.a in GNOME gedit through 3.22.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a file that begins with many '\0' characters.
Pre-authorization Start Remote Process vulnerabilities in Trend Micro OfficeScan 11.0 and XG may allow unauthenticated users who can access the OfficeScan server to start the fcgiOfcDDA.exe executable or cause a potential INI corruption, which may cause the server disk space to be consumed with dump files from continuous HTTP requests.
The racoon daemon in IPsec-Tools 0.8.2 contains a remotely exploitable computational-complexity attack when parsing and storing ISAKMP fragments. The implementation permits a remote attacker to exhaust computational resources on the remote endpoint by repeatedly sending ISAKMP fragment packets in a particular order such that the worst-case computational complexity is realized in the algorithm utilized to determine if reassembly of the fragments can take place.
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. macOS before 10.13.1 is affected. The issue involves the "CoreText" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a crafted font file.
The TIFFReadDirEntryArray function in tif_read.c in LibTIFF 4.0.8 mishandles memory allocation for short files, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (allocation failure and application crash) in the TIFFFetchStripThing function in tif_dirread.c during a tiff2pdf invocation.
The stream reading functions in lib/opencdk/read-packet.c in GnuTLS before 3.3.26 and 3.5.x before 3.5.8 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-memory error and crash) via a crafted OpenPGP certificate.
Samsung Note devices with KK(4.4), L(5.0/5.1), and M(6.0) software allow attackers to crash the system by creating an arbitrarily large number of active VR service threads. The Samsung ID is SVE-2016-7650.
The WritePixelCachePixels function in ImageMagick 7.0.6-6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (CPU consumption) via a crafted file.
An Uncontrolled Resource Consumption issue was discovered in Schneider Electric Wonderware ArchestrA Logger, versions 2017.426.2307.1 and prior. The uncontrolled resource consumption vulnerability could allow an attacker to exhaust the memory resources of the machine, causing a denial of service.
A vulnerability in the network stack of MikroTik Version 6.38.5 released 2017-03-09 could allow an unauthenticated remote attacker to exhaust all available CPU via a flood of TCP RST packets, preventing the affected router from accepting new TCP connections.
BackBox Linux 4.6 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (ksoftirqd CPU consumption) via a flood of packets with Martian source IP addresses (as defined in RFC 1812 section 5.3.7). This product enables net.ipv4.conf.all.log_martians by default. NOTE: the vendor reports "It has been proved that this vulnerability has no foundation and it is totally fake and based on false assumptions.
The KEYS subsystem in the Linux kernel before 4.10.13 allows local users to cause a denial of service (memory consumption) via a series of KEY_REQKEY_DEFL_THREAD_KEYRING keyctl_set_reqkey_keyring calls.
