CVE-2026-63932 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: iio: chemical: mhz19b: reject oversized serial replies mhz19b_receive_buf() appends each serdev chunk into the fixed MHZ19B_CMD_SIZE receive buffer and advances buf_idx by len without checking that the chunk fits in the remaining space. A large callback can therefore overflow st->buf before the command path validates the reply. Reset the reply state before each command and reject oversized serial replies before copying them into the fixed buffer. When an oversized reply is detected, wake the waiter and report -EMSGSIZE instead of overwriting st->buf.
CVE-2026-64367 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: hid-goodix-spi: validate report size to prevent stack buffer overflow goodix_hid_set_raw_report() builds a protocol frame in a 128-byte stack buffer (tmp_buf), writing an 11-12 byte header followed by the caller-supplied report data. The HID core caps report size at HID_MAX_BUFFER_SIZE (16384) by default, while the driver does not set hid_ll_driver.max_buffer_size and performs no bounds checking before copying the payload: memcpy(tmp_buf + tx_len, buf, len); A hidraw SET_REPORT ioctl with a report larger than ~116 bytes overflows the stack buffer. Add a size check after constructing the header, rejecting reports that would exceed the buffer capacity. Discovered by Atuin - Automated Vulnerability Discovery Engine.
CVE-2026-64440 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-26 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: rtl8723bs: fix OOB write in HT_caps_handler() HT_caps_handler() iterates pIE->length bytes and writes into HT_caps.u.HT_cap[], which is a fixed 26-byte array (sizeof struct HT_caps_element). Because pIE->length is a raw u8 from an over-the-air 802.11 AssocResponse frame and is never validated, a malicious AP can set it up to 255, causing up to 229 bytes of out-of-bounds writes into adjacent fields of struct mlme_ext_info. Truncate the iteration count to the size of HT_caps.u.HT_cap using umin() so that data from a longer-than-expected IE is silently ignored rather than written out of bounds, preserving interoperability with APs that pad the element. An early return on oversized IEs was considered but rejected: it would bypass the pmlmeinfo->HT_caps_enable = 1 assignment that precedes the loop, silently disabling HT mode for APs that append extra bytes to the HT Capabilities IE.

CVE-2026-63887 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-25 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: target: iscsi: Bound iscsi_encode_text_output() appends to rsp_buf iscsi_encode_text_output() concatenates "key=value\0" records into login->rsp_buf, an 8192-byte kzalloc(MAX_KEY_VALUE_PAIRS) buffer allocated in iscsit_alloc_login_setup_buffer(). The three sprintf() call sites in this function (lines 1398, 1411, 1424 in v7.1-rc2) never check the remaining buffer capacity: *length += sprintf(output_buf, "%s=%s", er->key, er->value); *length += 1; output_buf = textbuf + *length; The 8192-byte ceiling at iscsi_target_check_login_request() bounds the *input* Login PDU payload, but a single PDU can carry up to 2048 minimal four-byte "a=b\0" pairs, each unknown key expanding to a 16-byte "a=NotUnderstood\0" output record via iscsi_add_notunderstood_response(). 2048 * 16 = 32 KiB of output into an 8 KiB buffer, producing a ~24 KiB heap overrun in the kmalloc-8k slab. The fix introduces a static iscsi_encode_text_record() helper that uses snprintf() with a per-call bounds check against the remaining buffer, and threads a u32 textbuf_size parameter through iscsi_encode_text_output(). Both call sites in iscsi_target_handle_csg_zero() (PHASE_SECURITY) and iscsi_target_handle_csg_one() (PHASE_OPERATIONAL) pass MAX_KEY_VALUE_PAIRS. On overflow the encoder logs the condition, calls iscsi_release_extra_responses() to drop queued records, and returns -1; both caller sites now emit ISCSI_STATUS_CLS_INITIATOR_ERR / ISCSI_LOGIN_STATUS_INIT_ERR via iscsit_tx_login_rsp() before returning, so the initiator sees an explicit failed-login response rather than a silent connection drop. (Prior to this patch only the PHASE_OPERATIONAL caller did that; the PHASE_SECURITY caller is converted to the same shape.)
CVE-2026-45811 1 Apache 1 Nimble 2026-07-24 7.5 High
Buffer Copy without Checking Size of Input ('Classic Buffer Overflow') vulnerability in Apache NimBLE. The HCI socket transport did not check whether a received HCI event would fit the configured event pool before copying it, allowing a buffer overflow. Severity is low: exploitation requires either a misconfigured pool size or a malicious/compromised controller on the other end of the HCI socket link, not over-the-air Bluetooth access. This issue affects Apache NimBLE: through 1.9.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.10.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-29009 2 Denx, U-boot 2 U-boot, U-boot 2026-07-24 8.2 High
U-Boot before 2026.07-rc2 contains a buffer overflow vulnerability in nfs_readlink_reply() (net/nfs-common.c) when CONFIG_CMD_NFS is enabled, allowing a malicious or compromised NFS server to overflow the 2048-byte nfs_path_buff buffer by returning multiple relative symlink targets that are appended without cumulative length validation. Attackers can send two or more READLINK responses containing relative symlink targets of approximately 1100 bytes each to corrupt adjacent BSS variables including nfs_server_ip, nfs_server_mount_port, nfs_server_port, nfs_our_port, nfs_state, and rpc_id, potentially achieving memory corruption and control over the NFS client state machine.
CVE-2026-64831 1 Ffmpeg 1 Ffmpeg 2026-07-24 8.8 High
FFmpeg versions 8.0 through 8.1.2 contains a stack buffer overflow vulnerability in the Vulkan HEVC hardware decoder that allows remote attackers to overwrite return addresses and adjacent stack frames by supplying a crafted HEVC/H.265 bitstream. Attackers can embed a malicious vps_num_hrd_parameters value exceeding HEVC_MAX_SUB_LAYERS in any supported container format to overflow stack-allocated arrays in the vk_hevc_end_frame function, potentially achieving arbitrary code execution.
CVE-2026-52193 2026-07-24 7.5 High
Buffer Overflow vulnerability in UTT nv518G nv518GV3v3.2.7-210919-161313 allows a remote attacker to cause a denial of service via the gohead/sub_447CAC component
CVE-2026-49759 1 Erlang 4 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp, Erts and 1 more 2026-07-24 8.2 High
Stack-based Buffer Overflow vulnerability in Erlang OTP erts (inet_drv) allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to crash the BEAM VM by sending a crafted SCTP ERROR chunk. The sctp_parse_error_chunk function in erts/emulator/drivers/common/inet_drv.c parses SCTP ERROR chunks and writes cause codes into a fixed-size stack-allocated ErlDrvTermData spec[] array without checking bounds. A remote attacker who has established an SCTP association to a listening port can send a single crafted SCTP ERROR chunk containing enough cause codes to overflow the stack buffer, crashing the VM. The attacker can only write 16-bit values interleaved with a fixed tag, so the overflow does not provide a controlled return address, limiting exploitation to Denial of Service. A crafted SCTP ERROR chunk may also leak bits and pieces of Erlang VM memory into the received error packet observed by the Erlang process. Such data is already readable by the user running the Erlang VM, so the disclosure scope is limited. This issue affects OTP from OTP 17.0 before OTP 29.0.2, OTP 28.5.0.2 and OTP 27.3.4.13, corresponding to erts from 6.0 before 17.0.2, 16.4.0.2 and 15.2.7.9.
